The goal of any treatment with blood pressure is to remove the pressure, positive or negative, and restore the blood to its normal level. There are two blood pressure levels that experts consider as ideal.
The generally accepted goal is to reduce blood pressure to less than 140/90. Some say it should be below 140/85. But as regards levels, your doctor will make the decision final, because he knows your medical history. You may have certain other complications, for which he must give the benefit and consideration due.
The types of drugs used to control blood pressure are many. Mainly there are five major classes of drugs are used to control blood pressure. May each company has its own brand and there are many over-the-counter drugs available.
Diuretics (water tablets) are one of such drugs available, either by prescription or nonprescription. It's the most accepted for the treatment of blood pressure in the United Kingdom. A low dose of a diuretic is necessary to treat high blood pressure. The most commonly used in the diuretic therapy, hypertension is bendroflumethiazide. Diuretics other examples:
1. Chlorothiazide
2. Chlorthalidone
3. Cyclopenthiazide
4. Hydrochlorothiazide
5. Indapamide
How do these pills?
The idea of these tablets is increasing mountain of salt and fluid that you pass in your urine. The fluid flow is reduced, which actually reduces the pressure pressure. It could also have a relaxing effect on blood vessels and, in turn, reduce the pressure in blood vessels.
The principle adopted for the type of diuretic treatment is available in certain fruits and herbs, whose importance is gradually understood by researchers and scientists. Take garlic, for example. Garlic is regarded as one of the most effective remedies to lower blood pressure. The pressure and tension in the blood vessels are reduced because garlic has the power to relieve the spasm of small arteries. It also slows the pulse and modifies the heart rhythm, and more relieve symptoms of dizziness, shortness of breath and gas formation in the gastrointestinal tract. These days, the garlic capsules are also available. An average dose two to three capsules per day is given to a gap in the levels of abnormal blood pressure.
