I stood there, a member of my church in good standing. I was a close friend of the pastor. My wife and I were heads of department four classes of Sunday school. We participated in everything and my faith has worked! But first, I was more than msot Tither! And then, overnight it happened. I could not help myself. It was an involuntary reaction. I raised my hands during a song.
Everything was downhill from that point.
In less than two years, I was longer a member of the church, and I was lvoed belong at one for seven years. I also no longer a member of the denomination I grew up and gave my life to Jesus. When I look back, "raising of my hand" was more of a feel BORN Back when I gave my life to Jesus at age 17 in what was described to me "by others" like being born again.
That was long ago, decades ago! In a galaxy far far away religious. 
When I "progressed" as the jargon goes, give lfie my God, I did it for many reasons eternal. Was the 4th or 5th repetition of "Just As I Am," people looked at me (I thought), and friends had gone "in before, pressure, etc., great time pressure!
But when I raised my hand, was an involuntary act, I do not foresee, had not thought of. The body was simply responding to the command of the SPIRIT! It was a manifestation of an instant change in consciosuness be my real answer to the appeal procedure.
How many ways has the Bible tells us about "external" response. Do not clean the outside of the cup, do not add a new patch on an old garment, and do not put new wine in old bottle. It is Change comes from the inside that counts. At the heart of life was what enabled Jesus to say that I am the way! The path is not a name, but a principle. We follow Jesus when we go and touch INCOMING Consciousness Father: to Him as He is said or show us.
Unless you change your consciousness, you can not change the outside, at least for anything other than wood, hay and stubble.
Raise your hand! But when the citation inner voice!
